Licence

QuickTrueStretch is published by Heberg.cloud, which holds all rights to it. You are granted permission to install and use it on any number of computers you control, for personal or commercial work, at no cost.

You may not sell QuickTrueStretch, or a modified version of it, or bundle it into something you sell. You may not redistribute it. Rights not granted here are reserved.

Why the source is not published

A tool that asks to change your display should be checkable, and the way that is answered here is by publishing the audits rather than the code. The reports describe how the build was tested, in an isolated sandbox with networking available, and what the measurements were. You can read the method and disagree with it, which is the part that matters.

No warranty

The app is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

In practice the honest statement is this. QuickTrueStretch asks Windows to change a display mode and reports what Windows did. It cannot make your graphics driver behave, and a driver that accepts a mode and then does something unexpected is outside what any application can control. The app reads the display back after every switch precisely so it can tell you when that has happened rather than hide it. Restore native is there for the case where a mode leaves the screen unreadable, and a restart returns you to your normal resolution regardless, because resolution changes are made as session changes and are never written to the registry.

To the extent the law allows, Heberg.cloud is not liable for any damage arising from use of the app.

Trademarks

Game and hardware names that appear in the app, on this site or in the Store listing are the trademarks of their respective owners. They are used to describe compatibility as a matter of fact. QuickTrueStretch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version appears here with a new date. Continuing to use the app after that means the new terms apply.
